KVS Vision and Mission

To cater to the educational needs of children of transferable Central Government including Defence and Para-military personnel by providing a common programme of education; To pursue excellence and set the pace in the field of school education; To initiate and promote experimentation and innovations in education in collaboration with other bodies like Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) etc.

KVS RO SILCHAR

The Regional Office of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan is located in Silchar, Silchar, South Assam. The Regional Office manages 29 Central Schools located in Silchar Assam, Tripura, Meghalaya, Mizoram. Out of these, 08 projects are in Kendriya Vidyalayas of Kendriya Vidyalaya, 15 Civil Sector and 06 Defense Sector.

Excellent performance of Silchar Region table tennis team at the 55th KVS National Sports Meet 2026 in Chennai. 🥉 Silchar Region secured 3rd position overall in the table tennis competition. In the Under-14 category, the Silchar Region team defeated KVS Ernakulam Region 3–0 to win the gold medal. Bijayjit Dev was recognized for his outstanding performance. In the Under-19 category, the team defeated KVS Ahmedabad Rajan 2–0 and won the bronze medal. Two players, Bijayjit Dev and Master Jatin Singh, were selected for the 70th SGFI Meet.

Ms. Aloka Chakraborty, PRT KV Silchar received National Award in the Year 2016. She was protomed to HM and posted to KV Silchar. After 35 years of service she retired from KV Silchar. She is a resource person for teacher training programme KVS and a coordinator.

Two students of PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya Karimganj, Assam — Jabidul Hasan and Biswajan Paul — for being selected for the National School Connect Programme “YES PE”. They have been invited to participate in a 5-day experiential learning programme at the Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education (LNIPE), Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh, one of India’s premier institutions for physical education and sports.

Achievement at National Level- 02 Silver medals in 52nd KVS National Sports Meet 2023. c. Selected to represent KVS in the 67th SGFI Archery Under-17 at Nadiad (Gujarat) on 17-18 December 2023 d. 01 Gold medal in Sub Junior Recurve Boys Category in 2nd Khelo India North East Archery League 2023 e. 02 Bronze medals in 2ND NTPC National Ranking Archery Tournament 2023 and got 3rd Rank in Sub Junior and 1st Rank in Junior Recurve Boys category held from 19th- 28th March,2023 Organised by Archery Association of India. f. Achievement at International Level- Represented Meghalaya State in the Selection Trial for the 23rd Asian Archery Championship 2023 held at Sonipat, Haryana from 14th to 19th October 2023 g. 01 Gold Medal for Meghalaya state in Recurve Boys U-18 in Indian Open Indoor Archery Tournament 2024 held at New Kolkata from 19th to 21st January 2024. .
