Gender Sensitization

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan , Silchar Region has pursued an active stand in promoting gender equality. Workshops, community mobilisation programme are organised in order to sensitise parents , local community regarding gender equality. Provisions in admission for the girl child is highlighted in the Vidyalaya platform annually. Important days such as International Women’s Day, National Girl Child Day etc are also celebrated as part of th e gender sensitization programme.In order to promote gender equity, gender- neutral language is used, stereo typing children is avoided and all children are encouraged to express their feelings equally.
